does the image really leave the screen and pop out and float around the room like in the theather or dose it jus give that layerd look like “Real D” bull shit?
@johnsucrosky Anything that can play a video can use those glasses, and I wouldn’t imagine it being a very good experience… If you want to use the cheaper, Real 3D glasses, you can take back/sell your current T.V. and buy an LG ‘Cinema 3D’ set. I believe that that is the only T.V. that uses those glasses.
@JDC5656
However the red and cyan videos work on my TV. I tried it with red/cyan glass that i bought. They are like $1.
I don’t like the color change…The real 3D one in the theater is great and cheap…
@johnsucrosky There are two different 3D T.V. sets that utilize different glasses: Passive and Active. Your T.V. uses the active method, which requires the glasses to alternately shut off the lenses. Passive T.V.’s don’t use that method, instead they have, I believe, a special coating on the T.V.screen to allow for the images to be sent to different eyes through ‘s the different lenses. So thats why the cheap one’s from the cinema don’t work on your T.V. set, because they werent designed for it.
Those 3D glasses from real 3D theater are so cheap! I wonder why we can’t use those 3D glasses for our 3D TV. If appropriate Real 3D videos are available, can we use the same 3D glass from theater on our 3D HDTV?
Just wondering
I got my sony 3d tv for $480 shipped ebay but it was only a 40″ still pretty good I thought then I had to buy the starter kit for $90 though.
I bought my kdl46hx800 for 1350 at a Sony Outlet Store at the beginning of 2011. Came with Alice and Wonderland Starter Kit too. Could not have gotten a better deal!

@ghillas16 Plasma is the worse for gaming seriously reconsider your purchase, LCD is most favored although LED is more elite but also more expensive. You should consider a few hours of research on a subject like this.
@seijeru87 I want a plasma tv. Isnt plasma better for gaming and watching movies? Also, which plasma3d-tv can u reccomend me?? Please answer =)
I take it back.. with Side by side it’s like the near images pop out slightly, it’s noticable, i was on simulated 3D and things didn’t pop out, the 3D is amangly good, well worth the 1k for the TV and the 3D parts
this 3D LED is the best deal on the market right…waay better than my freind’s samsung 3D LED..so anyone planning to get a 3D tv..don’t wait..go right now and grab it..u will not regret it

@gstyle23 did u find out if megavideo works in full screen on the browser? If you can’t find a video, go to dubbinz.com and click on an anime (e.g. bleach, naruto, etc) then select an episode and watch it in full screen. Please tell me as i am still waiting for your response.
Thanks for giving me a response
Thank you for all your comments and views 10,050!!!
@andyuriarte
ok micro dimming plus “let me ask you this? are you going to watch tv with a microscope?” your eye can only pick up so much so in my opinion THERE’s not difference.

@replicantplanet
thank for the comment and i’m glade you the tv as well as the review!!!
Best review of the D7000 TV I’ve seen and great you talked about the LG 3D as that was going to be my 2nd choice i wish you had talked about the HD picture and showed some more content rather than your boy playing the XBox BUT you have sold the D7000 to me, PS Get a job in Best Buy and your wife made me howl with laughter…
Just wait for the 3D tvs in the future that are not going to require 3D glasses.
Hey, if you don’t mind could you tell me if a video from megavideo works in full screen on the web browser. I tried it out in Futureshop (Canada) and i could watch it in small screen. When I enlargened it, the browser froze on me. Please tell me asap since I am deciding to buy the Tv.
more screen, less bezel !?!?!?!?! I think its only less bezel cause the screen is still 46″ same as in previous models ( C – series for example)
i have the ue55d8000 i buy for $2,800 also the 3D is amazing on PS3 the likes of KILLZONE 3,MLB 11 THE SHOW, AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE UNCHARTED 3 ON MY TV SO THE PS3 is the way to go for 3D
