There’s a general house cleaning going on at Microsoft these days.  However, like most corporate purgings, it leaves the biggest problem remaining at the top.

Yahoo tells Microsoft to kiss off

Yahoo turned down Microsoft’s unsolicited $44.6 billion takeover bid.
Yahoo deemed the offer inadequate.
Never mind that it is a stupid idea and will ruin both companies while providing no increase in shareholder value.

Apple beats Microsoft, Motorola in 4Q phone sales

Even after being on the market for less than half a year, more iPhones sold in the fourth quarter than Windows Mobile phones in the U.S., according to research from Canalys.

Clearwire cancels it’s IPO

I guess when you raise $900 million, you really don’t need to raise another $400 million via IPO.
