Hillary Clinton rose to the challenge and handily defeated Barack Obama in the Pennsylvania Democratic primary today keeping her hopes of landing the nation’s chief office alive.
Clinton beat Obama 55% to 45% in a definitive culmination of a 7 week ordeal, but in reality only picked up a net gain of 6 delegates in the all important delegate count. Obama still leads by almost 140 delegates and is expected to gain more in the upcoming North Carolina and Indiana primaries.
