Hillary loses it with Obama - “Rove style attacks”
Monday, February 25, 2008 8:51Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton exploded infront of the press regarding Senator Barack Obama’s advertisement criticizing the Mrs. Clinton’s plan for universal health care. She likened the Democratic Senator’s tactics to those used by Carl Rove and the Republicans.
Although the pressure of the campaign is calling for desperate measures, this latest outburst strikes us as not as reactionary as it is portrayed. Senator Clinton never “reacts,” she calculates, takes a poll, forms a strategy, and “acts.” This looks more like a strategic “get tough” and “rally the democratic troops” behind core principles, while attacking your opponent at the same time.
Mrs. Clinton also neglects to add that she has attacked Senator Obama’s health care plan on several occasions, including some of the more recent debates. She also states that Democrats cannot criticize each others plans with regard to universal health care.
These facts are sure to be examined by Mr. Obama during the debates in Ohio.
