President and Vice President?
Saying that she was honored to be sitting with Barack Obama, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sounded very much like she was conceding the party’s nomination to Obama and, perhaps, trying to position herself as the party’s Vice Presidential choice.
“You know, no matter what happens in this contest, … I am honored to be here with Barack Obama. I am absolutely honored,” she said, and reached out to shake her rival’s hand.
Prior to the Democratic debate, new polls by the Washington Post and ABC News showing she and Obama tied in Texas and her lead down to seven points in Ohio. This would make Clinton’s chances of winning sufficient delegates a mathematical impossibility.
We expect Hillary Clinton to concede the race and her presidential prospects as early as March 5th.
