Secret Obama meeting with Edwards in NC

Presidential Democrat candidate Barack Obama flew to NC in secret yesterday. Obama, who normally travels with a group of reporters, left them behind in Chicago to fly down to NC. The meeting took place at Edwards’ home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

“Senator Obama visited this morning with John and Elizabeth Edwards at their home in Chapel Hill to discuss the state of the campaign and the pressing issues facing American families,” said Obama spokesman Bill Burton. He did not comment on the possibility of an endorsement.

Can we expect an Edward’s endorsement this week? Did he just negotiate a VP role in the Obama administration?
