Round Two: Iran
Things seem to be in motion, moving in an inevitable way to one conclusion: War with Iran.
It’s not just the nuclear program, not just the recent detaining of British soldiers, nor their poorly veiled support for insurgents in Iraq. It’s all of these things building up - a critical mass, a crescendo, an unstoppable force.
If Tony Blair asks George Bush for help, can he refuse him? Would he want to? I think not.
Notice the continual ratcheting up of tensions, small excursions into Iranian waters coupled with very large US and British naval forces nearby. The Iranians are being played and they don’t even know it.
The most telling part of this adventure was the removal of all Russian nuclear support personnel about one week ago.
Buckle up, it looks like a middle east escalation, round two.
