Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail… in California?
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was in San Francisco campaigning for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides.
Although it could be seen as party loyalty, Clinton’s behavior appeared more self serving.
The New York senator and likely 2008 presidential candidate was in San Francisco on Friday morning for a $1,000-a-head Angelides fundraiser. But the former first lady stuck around just long enough for the TV cameras to get a decent clip of her singing Angelides’ praises before she was on her way, ignoring questions from the phalanx of reporters as she left the swank St. Regis Hotel.
Was it Angelides or Clinton for President in 2008 being served?
Angelides sidestepped answering whether he would endorse Clinton if she runs, saying only that “I think the world of Senator Clinton” and that he is focused on his race.
What a great political party.
